About the Pod
One day, Nick, knowing nothing about music, heard a song that he liked but didn’t know why. He hopefully reached out to his formally musically trained and talented friend, Eddie, in search of a succinct explanation. The answer required the two of them to start at the beginning, we’re excited to have you join us demystify the world of music together.
About Eddie
Lives in Michigan with his wife and 2 kids
Formal Training: Majored in music at Michigan State University
Experience: Started playing piano at 5, hasn’t stopped since. Teaches music professionally. Has conducted dozens of musical performances. Marched in marching bands. Working knowledge of no fewer than 150 instruments (definitely all true…).
Favorite conductor: A mirror
Favorite musical moment: There’s nothing like a live show, or when some impromptu music making really clicks. Or when my son sings at the top of his lungs while indiscriminently smacking the strings on his mini guitar.
